I and my friend planted a fern on Sunday 2nd December.
There are many ways to stop deforestation. Some of these ways to stop deforestation is to start going more paper free in the future and replace paper with technology, this will reduce deforestation greatly because a lot of trees that are cut down are used to make paper. Another way would be to just simply plant more trees, people could make more of an effort to plant trees an make their backyards or cities greener.Or fill up empty places with new forests.
My opinion on deforestation is that it is a major issue that will impact our future if we don’t try to do something about it. It is an issue for our environment because the constant cut down of trees they can soak up the carbon dioxide in the air and it’s making global warming become worse. Deforestation is also hurting and killing many animals and making them lose their habitat and food sources.
Te Ura Rākau (forestry New Zealand), they are a company devoted to helping the cause of stopping deforestation. Te Ura Rākau has a program to plant one billion trees by 2027. They have started this year (2018) and planted around 60,655,000 trees so far.

Tree fellas are a company in Auckland that does things from hedge trimming to site clearing. Site clearing is when they turn impractical land into more productive land by removing the trees.
All animals that live in forests are victims of deforestation, Especially areas like the deep jungle or on islands because they are only adapted to that habitat and will most likely die if they try to move from their habitat. Deforestation causes many different issues for animals like lack of food, shelter, and breeding habitat. The habitat fragments that animals live in may be too small for some animals to maintain their population.

deforestation causes different problems for our environment. One of the main problems is that is accelerating global warming, global warming is caused by the enhanced greenhouse effect. The enhanced greenhouse effect is the burning of fossil fuels that release CO2(carbon dioxide) into the atmosphere trapping heat and warming our globe. Trees have a big role in helping global warming as they collect CO2 and they store it, then the tress carries out photosynthesis, Carbon dioxide + water- Glucose + oxygen. Buy cutting down trees we are getting rid of useful tools for storing CO2 but a lot of wood is burned which releases The CO2 they’ve stored back into the atmosphere.

Deforestation is a major issue in NZ, Deforestation is harmful to the environment and people. Deforestation is bad for wildlife and for air pollution and global warming. In NZ an average of 3.5-7 billion trees are cut down every year.
